Digital Shoppy was launched on 19th May 2000. Digital shoppy was India's first click-and-mortar consumer electronics showroom in retail at Raj Bhavan Road in Hyderabad and in cyber space with first consumer electronics portal www. digitalshoppy.com. The portal enabled customer of any electronic product to compare brands, features and prices online and see the product at Digital Shoppy. Even after stepping into the showroom, if customer would like to get more details of the product in an easy to use digital data, he could use any of the four units to look up the portal for more information and also take help from the staff to facilitate his purchase. The showroom and portal had entire consumer electronic products like Colour TVs , Refrigerators , Washing machines , Microwave ovens , AC's , Floppies , Music Cassettes , Compact discs and Internet products Digital Shoppy is a retail chain of showrooms for consumer electronics and home appliances founded by Mr. A Mahesh Raju. He is a Gold Medalist in Engineering from Andhra University and M.Tech from IIT Delhi was with Philips India before starting a Sony distributorship in AP. In 1996, Mr Mahesh Raju established Indias first 'Sony World' an exclusive Sony Product Showroom in Hyderabad. A highly flexible and customer centric approach to retailing has made Digital Shoppy a very popular name in Hyderabad.
